The scale issue is solved: in control panel language options was
configured the dot as decimal separator instead of comma (the default
for italy is comma), now scale works.
But the worse issue is still there, it shows nothing for the
attributes when use identify on vector

Hi everybody, after a fresh install in win 7 64b when I open
differents shapfiles (even alaska dataset) the scale below map canvas
is fized to 1:14
