I am now using qgis 2.2 from debian repository:

Hi Amedeo,
I don't think that mixing the repositories is a good idea. I think
that if you want to have both versions of QGIS installed on your
machine you have to compile them (but I'm not sure).
Otherwise, uninstall completely the QGIS version you

Hi!
If you are not afraid of compiling QGIS on your own you can read [0].
With that you can install as many versions of QGIS running parallel as
you want.
If you do not understand a step just drop me a message

Hello everyone,
I have a *csv file that I´m trying to add as an attribute only table.
The question is that QGIS only recognizes the name of the first field.

Sure,
the situation could be:
csv file content:
NAME,2013,2014
REGION1,1000,2000
REGION2,3000,4000
I try to add this file into QGIS as an only table, with no geometries
associated and the result I get is like this:
NAME,field_2,field_3
REGION1,1000,2000
REGION2,3000,4000

Yes i confirm this behavior with numbers, with the text fields works ok.
Test in QGIS 2.2 Valmiera OSGeo4W 32-bits Installer in Windows 7 64-bits.
Alexandre, do you have the same behavior?

I think that the problem is the field names. You cannot have a name
that begins with a digit. Try to rename the column headers yr_2013,
yr_2014, etc.

This happens when the field name is a number. adding a string character and
it works:
NAME, y2013, y2014
REGION1,1000,2000
REGION2,3000,4000
Don't know if this is a bug or a limitation.

Hi again,
thanks Richard you for your explanation, it sounds perfectly reasonable
the way you put it down.
I´ll simply rename starting with a single letter.
Thank you, Joao, Mica and Alexandre too.

I'm happy to present my new plugin called LayerBender.
It's purpose is to allow to align/distort vector layers to match a source,

Have you tried the add delimited text layer Tool? You can find it on
the manage layers toolbar. If I had one I could most likely get to a
raster once you have the points added (gdal_grid I believe is the
command line command)
Hope that helps a bit.

Hi Rudy,
Yes for opening as raster the file need a header like this - with number of
cols and rows, x,y corner, and cellsize.
You could rename a csv to asc.
But if you only has a csv with 3 col x,y, and z - you can take LayerAdd
delimited text layer
Then make an interpolation and get your
