[Qgis-user] (no subject)

2015-01-26 Thread labiancamaril...@libero.it
Dear all,
I should add a spreadsheet with data containing the addresses of commercial
activities to be loaded in QGIS.
The spreadsheet (Excel) contains the name, code, complete address, city.
How can I assign these values properly if I want to use open layer plugin with
a road map of Google?Thanks___

[Qgis-user] Water plugins: epanet and swmm

2015-01-26 Thread Francesco Liva
Hi
I am quite new to QGIS. I am trying to work with EPANET and SWMM on QGIS 2.6 on
ubuntu.
Following the indications on the two web sites:
https://github.com/Oslandia/qgis-epanet
https://github.com/Oslandia/qgis-swmm
I follwed the instruction for both.
On file epanet.c the instruction is “comment out line: #define DLL” and
“uncomment line: #define CLE”. Both lines had the # symbol and I have removed
the # on the second line.
On file swmm5.c the instruction is “comment out line: #define DLL”, “uncomment
line: #define CLE”plus “comment line: #include direct.h”
I have removed the # on the second line only.
On both EPANET and SWMM I then run “make” and I get error messages for both
ending with: “Error 1”. What can I do. Does anybody can help me.
Thank you
Best Regards
Francesco Liva

I suspect it's a path problem, working on this.

I would make sure that all mapped drive are properly remapped with the

also make sure the .svg symbol images are well mapped.

If the problem persists, I would repurge Qgis, install and older version

George, thanks for your advice. After testing on a brand new table, I've
figured out that this problem appears only with tables, that don’t have a
primary key constraint in the db. When I add a primary key, my edits get
committed to the base as expected.
However, I’ve noticed that “Add PostGIS Table” dialog doesn’t show this table
has a primary key (the Primary key column is empty). But when a table is
added to the map, it has a key=“gid” option in Layer source” field in
“Properties - “General window.

Can anyone confirm the same issue is only when editing a table without primary
key?

[Qgis-user] Fwd: QGIS crash on loading projects

2015-01-26 Thread Matt Boyd
Just a bump to this question, does anyone know how to enable logging or
find the log file? I really don't want to have to re create all my project
files and I can't get any of the my old projects to open.

 Hi,
If you had and openlayer opened (like google earth or bing map), but
but did not reinstall the plugin, it can crash. Try installing that plugin
 and see what happens...

 Nope, that doesn't help.

 Hi QGISers,
for some reason today I can't load saved QGIS projects. QGIS crashes at
abour 95% loaded with no information in the notification about why.

I've tried reinstall from osgeo4w64, reboot, start from command line,
 disabling all plugins.

Where's the log file kept and is there a way to enable logging from the
osgeo cl window in windows 7?

About the only thing that's different today is a few updates, one of them
 being a .NET windows update.

 Thanks
 Matt

Re: [Qgis-user] Fwd: QGIS crash on loading projects

2015-01-26 Thread Lene Fischer
Please first update to 2.6.1.

If you have your crashed projects – you also have projects named with a .qgs~.
Rename this project and delete the ~ and open it as usual.
A lot of my students had the same problem last week – but only the ones who had
forgotten to update to 2.6.1
Hope this can help you.

Re: [Qgis-user] (no subject)

2015-01-26 Thread Phil (The Geek) Wyatt
You will need to somehow assign geographic references (Lat/Long) to each
address. This might be achieved by geocoding from the addresses. Under plugins,
check if the experimental MMQGIS plugin is loaded. This has a menu item for
geocoding the addresses from Google and Open Street Mapping.

Cheers - Phil

Subject: [Qgis-user] (no subject)

Dear all,
I should add a spreadsheet with data containing the addresses of commercial
activities to be loaded in QGIS.
The spreadsheet (Excel) contains the name, code, complete address, city.
How can I assign these values properly if I want to use open layer plugin with
a road map of Google?

Thanks
