override dalle impostazioni.

I needed to do the same, and I found this postgis function:

Hope it helps!!

I've got a long running Atlas project. Usually every couple of months I

Nobody? Am I looking at having to use some PostGIS functions to accomplish
this?

Hi Tyler, not exactly what you need, but I use a combination of the
following to snap a point shp to a line shp.
v .to.points set at 0.5m distances on line layer (obviously the lower the
more accurate)
Distance to nearest hub from original point to newly created point, output
as line

I use a few GRASS procedures to snap points to a line (i.e. snap
gauges to a stream network) as follows:
# Add columns to the stations vector for snapped_x and snapped_y
and get coordinates
echo -e "\n** Snapping stations to streams **"
v.db.addcolumn --q
Dear all,
I'm using qgis to depict data derived from population genetic analysis.
For each sampling site i've got a pie chart with a specific label.
Taking into account that some sampling sites are extremely closed to each
other, do you know if there is an option that allows you to move directly
Giulia,
Are your labels on a separate Layer? you wont be able to move both
together if they are.
If you have everything on the one layer and the labels are associated
with the charts then its an easy enough task. You have 2 options.

So I should:
1. Learn how to import my vector roads from .kmz into postgis. (I'll Google
that.)
2. Use http://postgis.net/docs/ST_Length.html to get the length (L in meters)

How are users accessing the data? If they're connecting to a
database, can you simply not give them update permission? If it's
files, can you can keep read-only master copies on a public
store/shared drive?

Hi again;
Just wondering if there is a QGIS Viewer available, or any suggestions as
to what I can use that is open source with some basic spatial search
capabilities and can view filegeodatabases?
I have been deploying QGIS to our staff to view our GIS Data and I am
starting to get a little

If you remove customise from the menu they will have to edit their registry
to get it back. So will stop all but the most determined user.

You can hide most of the interface using the settings>customise menu, no
plugin required.

Hi everyone,
I have finished the installation of QGIS 2.14 on Centos 7.
For example a lot of ui files uses QWebView which I have to replace with
QTextBrowser.
Here is the list with errors:
1. vector.py from /usr/share/qgis/python/plugins/processing/tools.
a. Fails at the line import
Hi,
That is good news!

If you're using the OSGeo4W installer, you could uninstall the filegdb
api so that QGIS has to use the OpenFileGDB driver (which is read
only) to view file geodatabases. The QGIS stand-alone installer just
has the OpenFileGDB driver, so nothing extra is required there.

I would appreciate to be helped in the installation of QGis, since even I
succeeded in doing so, when I try to initiate QGI, I get the message
(translated from spanish): "The program con not be initiated because
MSVCP120 is missing in the computer. Try to reinstall the program so to

Thanks. I did
$ qgis numbers/chain_number.qgs
and indeed saw your line with the four digit numbers on it.
Actually I think I should avoid doing my project by hand via
mouseclicks (Qgis), and instead learn PostGIS and write "batch job" SQL script
SELECT points WHERE each point is at 25 meter
Well there seems to be plenty of options; I like the idea of disabling some of
the interface options. I highly doubt too many of my coworkers know how to
access the registry and those that do I am not worried about making edits.
Thanks all.

Those are all good suggestions, I feel kind of silly asking now because the
solutions all seem painfully obvious. Thanks for putting up with me ;)
