Hi, thanks for the tips Actually it was not the ever present ~/.qgis2 permissions bug. I went to /usr/share/qgis and changed the permissions on that folder to my user name. I have no idea how this happened but I write here solution in case anyone else comes across this. Regards On Wed, Apr 23,
