Hello,
If I need to manually install plugins in QGIS 2.6, where do they go? I have
the 64-bit version installed.
For 1.8 I had to put them in C:\Users\lma\.qgis\python\plugins (32-bit) -
QGIS 2.6 does not read this so the installed plugins list is just the
default.
Cheers
Lester
Hey Lester,
Any QGIS 2.X version goes into .qgis2 folder with the same setup.

Hi Nathan,
The old folder for .qgis has the following:
gdal_pam (folder)
python (folder with the plugins)
sextante (folder)
qgis (database file)
symbology-ng-style (XML doc)
.qgis2 is different:
cache (folder)
gdal_pam (folder)
palettes (folder)
processing (folder)
qgis (database file)
Old 1.8 plugins won't work at all in 2.0. We had a api break.

Hi Nathan,
OK I have tested a couple plugins (all stated as working for 2.x) but they
do not show up in the manage plugin list:
C:\Users\landerso\.qgis2\python
Copied into python folder: points2one and profiletool - neither shows up.
Is there another folder to put these in? Not sure what the

Try C:\Program Files\QGIS Chugiak\apps\qgis\python\plugins that’s where I

No. Never put them there. That is the install folder for qgis and all user
plugins should live in .qgis2\python\plugins in your user folder, or else
they won't show up when you upgrade to a new version.

Yes I know what you are saying however this is the path that works as I too
have to live with firewalls and restricted access due to security settings ( I

Hi
I am just wondering if there is an equivalent to ArcToolbox for QGIS / open
source GIS python? I have a very limited knowledge of python and find
ArcToolbox great to just drag in tools and create models, is there a plugin or
something similar for QGIS / open source python?
Thanks, Chris

Hello,
I am having trouble processing an image through the Unsupervised KMeans
image classification in the OTB Toolbox of QGIS 2.4. I have a multi-band
.tif image in the Input Image box and keep all the defaults.
When I run it, this error immediately shows up:

Hi Andrés,
Unfortunately I can't say nothing useful about this particular error
but, for what it's worth, the GRASS GIS algorithms r.cost and r.drain
that can be easily accessed via the GRASS GIS plugin, works pretty fine
with very good results.
Cheers,

There is also a plugin called Swap Vector Direction for that purpose.
HTH,

Swapping the line direction is part of the DigitizingTools plugin (see

I'm not sure what you call the thing that looks like a separator (small

through some sort of newly acquired skill. it is now Unhiden - and now
back to selecting features through expressions. Life is good.
