Helo
I watched the video in the weblink below. I was able to get up to the layer
styling step. But,I am unable to figure out how to accomplish this task. I
am herewith attaching the sample data of 1000 points. Can anyone please
guide me the steps so that I will have only those points that are within
1000ft of each other and drop the rest of the points?

Regards.

[Qgis-user] Raster .asc and .nc wrong projection

2022-01-27 Thread Eugenio Trumpy
Hi,

I have a problem importing raster .asc or .nc in the qgis new version 3.22.3 on
MacOS platform.
Unfortunately, I'm not yet able to reproduce the issue, I'll try.
However, it seems that starting with a new project and importing raster as .asc
or .nc the things work fine,
then it happens that the origin and the scale of the raster change wrongly
without any reason.
In my case, origin changes beside the scale which seems to be coupled.
Anyone has experienced this issue?

I have the error message:
Approximate used transformation from ESRI:104000 to EPSG:4326
but I don't think it is the problem.

The same dataset in the same qgis version 3.22.3 on ubuntu (installed from
package deb)
has not the same problem.

It seems the project becomes corrupted.

Any clue?

Cheers,
Eugenio

Try exploring the "DB SCAN" tool available in the Processing toolbox!

[QGIS-it-user] [MacOS - QGis 3.22.3] Importare .asc o .nc

2022-01-27 Thread Eugenio Trumpy
Salve,

tutto torna a posto,
finche non si ricompromette.

Idee?

Saluti,
Eugenio

Grazie Matteo

snapped to the next vertex (snapping distance in pixel).

Does it work with projected data only?

If I reproject the layer to UTM 25832 everything is fine.

I work with QGIS 3.16

[Qgis-user] Identify tool disabled

2022-01-27 Thread Christoph Jung
Hello everyone,

I have a strange problem with the identify tool corresponding to a WMS. The
service offers a GetFeatureInfo-Request, but only with the info_format
text/xml. If I have look into the layer properties, Qgis recognised this
information from the capabilities. A feature info request with this info format
works from the browser without problems. But if I select the WMS layer, the
identify tool button is disabled, i.e. I am not able to get feature information
in QGIS for this service. I had a look on open geospatial.GitHub.io/e-learning
to read about possible info formats: text/xml is not listed. If a server should
serve the information as GML, the text info should be application/vnd.ogc.gml
or application/vnd.ogc.gml/3.1.1. Does QGIS disable the identify tool, if the
server only offers a non standard info format?

P.S. the WMS is a Smallworld Server (such a mess -.-)

Best regards,
Christoph

[QGIS-it-user] deleteShapefile in pyqgis

2022-01-27 Thread pierluigi de rosa
Buongiorno a tutti,

noto un comportamento strano in pyqgis nell'usare la funzione
QgsVectorFileWriter.deleteShapeFile(file_path)

di seguito il codice molto semplice che uso:

def removeLayer(path_layer):
# remove layer from TOC if already loaded
basefile = os.path.basename(path_layer)
diff_layer = os.path.splitext(basefile)[0]
directory = os.path.dirname(path_layer)
extensions = ["shp", "shx", "dbf", "prj", "sbn", "sbx", "fbn",
"fbx", "ain", "aih", "ixs", "mxs", "atx", "xml",
  "cpg", "qix"]
output_path=path_layer
if os.path.exists(path_layer):
if len(QgsProject.instance().mapLayersByName(diff_layer)) > 0:
lyr = QgsProject.instance().mapLayersByName(diff_layer)[0]
print('renaming layer1: ', lyr.id())
QgsProject.instance().removeMapLayer(lyr.id())

QgsVectorFileWriter.deleteShapeFile(path_layer)

In sostanze se mando l'ultima riga dalla console python di QGIS cancello
correttamente lo shapefile. Internamente al mio codice rimane in cartella
il file .shp e .dbf che non vengono cancellati generandomi errori nella
parte seguente.

Qualcuno saprebbe dirmi dove sto sbagliando?
Grazie
