[Qgis-user] "raised field" objects : how to extract and export ?

Dear all,

I m working on windows 10.
In input, i have a .LAS "GROUND_only" lidar point cloud (4 millions points).
We 're interested in geomorphological microstructures called raised field
(ground elevation due to cultivated areas ). 
I attach a SS representing this cloud file.


1/ We would like to classify our input ground point cloud in order to
separate the points constuing those "raised field"  and other ground points
"NON ground raised field" points.
2/ Once the classification will done, we would like to be able to export the
result toward an new .las or shp (ideally with usefull attribute information
like class_id, z value, etc.).
We would like generate a Multipoint layer only for those "raised field
objects". All the points constituing an object "raised field" must be strore
into the same row( entity).

Could you tell me how to that?

[Qgis-user] Geomorphological microstructures 's footprint extraction?

Good morning,


We have as input a lidar point cloud (800 000 points) which is the result of
one our classification (this cloud represent only our geomorphological
structures class.) Then,from this cloud we generated a DTM (20cms).

Our goal is to delimit automatcally the footprint of these microstructures
with a polygonal vector. 

Pouvez vous nous éclairer sur les différentes méthodes et outils permettant
de faire celà? 
Could you throw light for us about methods and tools doing this task? 

Is it possible to capture this polygonal layer directly from the points
cloud? (hull).
Or would it be preferarable to work from the DTM raster or one of this
derivatived  (vector level curves, slope raster map, exposure raster map,
shading, etc.)? For instance, the slope raster map seems to be an
interesting criterion to identify and isolate the base of these
microstructures. Is would be possible to do an automatic vectorization?

For remind, i'm working on Windows 10 64 bits,mapinfo new version Pro 16.0,
QGIS 2.16.3.Following  to my previous message, I succeed in resolving my
first problem regarding the error message. The Peter 's procedure allows
indeed to no longer have an error message during the execution of the
command.I remind you the following post (giving the soution) :

 However, now, when i rerun the same command but the plugin does not still
seem to work. No task is done. I let the process run all the night. And the
status stays always on 
"Opening Mapinfo ... Exporting style table" .
 No qml file has been generated. It's strange because i managed to use this
plugin in march 2015 last year (with a previous mapinfo version) ...
According to you, the reason of the problems could be from updates realised
beteween previous version and last new mapinfo v.16?
Is it possible for someone to try a quick test ? I have already post a
message on the Nathan's Blog(plugin 's issues) :

generator":

I'm working with windows 8  postgis 2.1. 

I have several gps (gpx) files. I would like to import *directly* those gpx
files into my postgis database. 

What would be the easiest way? (OGR tool ?)

Regarding  qgis, what qgis tool could import gpx files directly in the
postgis database? Perhaps you alluded to the Qgis DB manager?

[Qgis-user] Pyqgis 2.2 : get signal on feature added + zoom to layer extent?

1/ For my pyqgis plugin 2.2, i try to

When i try to add a feature, this following error message appears: 

TypeError : logFeaturesAdded() takes exactly 3 arguments (2 given). 

2/ Always for my plugin, i can load a vector layer succesfully. But when i
try to zoom to the layer extent. But it does not work. How to do in order to
zoom to the layer extent?

[Qgis-user] Get signal on edited feature ?

Hello,

Regarding my pyqgis plugin 2.2 , I've implemented signal on a vector layer
event  successfully. For instance, whenever i create a new feature, i can
read a new basic message appeared via QGIS logging system :  feature
added. 

But for some  events, besides this basic message, i would like read the name
of the layer and/or , the id of the feature/ the attribut name / the
geometry type (line,surf,punct). 

How to bring more info details for the events? 

I paste below my piece of code :

[Qgis-user] Pyqgis :2.2 : link between a signal and an event

I'm writing a pyqgis 2.2 plugin with qgis 2.2 I succeeded in accessing and
displaying vector data (geometries  attributes). I succeed also to create a
'beforecomitechanges' signal ( emitted, before changes are commited to the
data provider). Thus a message has appeared into qgis logwindow (comit
change label) after editing operations and before commiting toward the dp).
Please read following piece of code allowing to do that:

def beforeLayerCommitChange(self):

  QgsMessageLog.logMessage( commit change )
  QApplication.beep()

layer.beforeCommitChanges.connect(self.beforeLayerCommitChange)

Now I would like to generate others signals. i would like generate the
displaying of information messages (number of features that have been
added,modifyied,deleted, the id of the features which have been modified,
the name of the layer..).

Hello, 

I 'm writing a pyqgis script. I succeed in accessing gis vector data (lists)
from my remote server (thanks to urllib) . I succed in displaying geometries
and attributs. 

1/ Now, i would like manage layer 's editions and modifications.
I must find a way to know the polygons that were been modified , deleted or
added. Could you throw light for me? 

2/ In a 2nd time i would like send these editing, these modifications toward
the remote server. Could you tell me how to do that please?

But when i run the python extension, i can display the layer. But i can't

[Qgis-user] qgis 2.2 : problem to visualize postgis raster layer

I'm working with windows 8 and qgis 2.2.
I imported raster into my postgis db without problem. But regarding the
visualization of the data in qgis i have an error message. This following
message appears when i try to load pg raster data from the qgis db manager.

I'm really surprised by the error message appearing in qgis. What's the
meaning of this connexion problem? i succeed without problem in connecting
and loading postgis layer vector data in qgis. My problem concerns only pg
raster data...
