Re: [Qgis-user] Live Mapping with QGIS on Toughbook
It does on Linux. It's always worked well for me after I stumble through setting up things. I should write it downbut haven't. I'm wondering though can you connect Bluetooth to GPSD - In other words can I connect my Linux Laptop to my phones GPS and still use GPSD? I've not tried mostly hadn't had the time or the "wanderlust" to work through the process. I assume you can. There's not much you can do these days with a linux workstation. Woot! I guess that's the one area I am fuzzy on is How QGIS interacts with GPS's. It seems like it's looking for either a com or USB port. [Qgis-user] Live Mapping with QGIS on Toughbook
I have been trying to use QGIS for live mapping on my Panasonic Toughbook Cf19 MK7 but I cannot get the GPS to connect when in the field. The software on the Toughbook shows it is picking up satellites so I am confident it isn’t the hardware. When I try to connect it occasionally picks up my location if I have wi-fi but without it never does. Any ideas what might be going wrong? ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org List info: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user Unsubscribe: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
