[Qgis-user] Will there be .pdf versions of the manual?

I see that there is a 'new' repository for the user manual starting with 1.8. Does this mean that they will no longer be produced in .pdf? I am often in situations where I do not have access to the internet and find that documentation that is on my hard drive the only way. G A Sansom
