Hi Robin:
I just noticed in the documentation for 2.16 at:

Under: Feature: Arrow Symbol Layer
It appears that you can make arrows with tapered shafts.
The shafts hasve start and end width se
I have a project with layers imported from Arc Info Coverages
(directories). They all appear to be locked from editing. If I select a
polygon, list the attributes, and attempt to change them the pencil toggle
in not active and no new values can be entered. I have tried other projects

HI:
I am a new QGIS user and an experienced Arc and Arcedit one.
I am trying to select grid lines that have been joined into a vector map
and have no unique attributes.
In Arcedit I would use SELECT PATH, which allows touching the opposite ends
of a line that is intersected many times by others. It
Hi All
I am trying to add highway route number background symbols to a
transportation layer. There are 9 different unique symbols. I can only
specify one per layer. I tried using Layer Properties>Feature Subset> query
but could only specify one feature set for the layer. I also tried double

The graphic is 656 MB (16200 x 13500 @ 300 dots per inch) and would measure

resolution and no file is generated. I have checked available memory and it

Hi All:
I am having a similar problem on stand alone 2.8.2 on PC with HDMI screen.
I set the screen canvas to 8 inch by 10 inch and made a screen dump. The
result was an image that was 4 by 6 inch instead of 8 x 10. However the
text on this image was the same size as on the screen. The image declar
Hi Lucas:
You can use the "data defined override" to set the text size based on your

The program expects a number which will become the size.
If the class in your data base is called "class" and it happens to be a
number usable as
Hi Tom
I betting that your merged file has NULL in the color-item you used for all
polygons from the roads source.
If that is so you could try changing the NULL color-item to a value not
included in the valid sectors color-item.
Then go to properties > style and click CLASSIFY to get the new color-
Hi Shane:
Have you tried moving the parking lot layer to below the road layer?
That way roads over parking lots would always show.

Hi Shane
Is it that you want the parking lot and the road outline to disappear if
the road touches the parking lot?
You can do that if you use a different way to outline the roads and parking
lots.
You need to duplicate both the road layer and the parking lot layer.
Then use one road layer to make
Hi Lee;
I agree using 2.8.3. Rotation around point features is limited to quadrant
1 and 4, the names cannot be turned upside down. Rotation of 120 degrees
gives the same as -30 degrees. Rotation of 180 or -180 results in 0
rotation. However if the point feature is set to label around the point
