Re: [Qgis-user] Edit in coordinates for points manually

2016-12-08 Thread Lene Fischer
Hi Saber,
Thanks for the suggestion - I have installed the plugin and tried to follow the
instructions - but it does not work...
I´ll try it out tonight when I have more time.

Hi Lene,

You can use the new Node tool prototype (works fine as a plugin) + the Advanced
Digitizing tools:
https://github.com/wonder-sk/CadNodeTool

See animation in the point 7:
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Enhancement-Proposals/issues/69

Hopefully the new node tool will be in QGIS 3

Cheers

Hi,
I have a lot of points which have to be edited in position.
Is there a way to manually edit a points x and y coordinate by writing ?

The idea of writing in the attribute table > exporting as CSV > importing as
text is not a solution :-)

Hi Lene,

there is a panel called "Vertex Editor" which is available when you start
the Node Tool to edit vertices in point, lines and polygons.
Here you can edit by writing the x,y coordinates.
I don't know if it should show up automatically, but if not you have to
activate this panel under View > Panels. You can only activate it, when the
Node Tool is selected before.

This is for editing. If you like to digitize points by writing the
coordinates I can recommend the "NumericalDigitize"-plugin.
