Hi all. I have a GRASS vector, and loaded it into QGIS .8.
it is selected, and I press the Edit GRASS vector Layer button
The grass edit dialog box pops up, but the vector lines on the screen
dissappear.
When I exit the GRASS Edit dialog box they reappear.
I'm pretty good with editing vectors,
Shapefiles do not have topology, so cleaning them is somewhat ambiguous.

Is there a way to clean topology in QGIS?
Like v.clean in GRASS?
A friend has a shapefile she needs cleaning up, and she can not do
this with her ArcView license.

right yes,
Okay I'll elaborate.
Import shapefile
create topology
clean

Topology/Cleaning available in QGIS, or has the tools not been
built from GRASS for this yet?
Thank you!

I'm not sure what is meant by an attribute table for the raster. The
values you have interpolated to create the raster would be the values to
display in the raster legend, unless you want textual classifications for
the raster values?

You dont have to export anything from QGIS to GRASS.

I verified what you are experiencing. Here is what I tried, and some
things I observed.
* The polygon can be queried with the identify tool, but it is not
drawing the geometry correctly at scales smaller than 1:6.
* Reprojected the dataset to something more localized for Alaska (UTM
zone 6).
What version of QGIS are you running?

Any help would be appreciated!
When you say Alaska does not appear correctly in the Map View, are you
saying that the shape is distorted? If yes, then the problem likely
lies with the projection.
