I can only envy Dilwyn and others, who seem to be applying and
experimenting with all of the latest features.
Hmmm...I was lucky to start using Easyptr 4, System Palette and all
the new features in pre-release format, which allowed me to learn
fairly quickly (viz. the articles I wrote for
Hi Dilwyn,
I hope Ralf will continue to support S_Edit.
Of course! Seems, that I am more infected than I ever was before!

Hi Ralf,
I am trying out your editor - Sedit v2.26 re.63 - which seems nice and
straightforward.
Which I downloaded from Dilwyn's web site.

easy to see. Especially finding
Hi Malcolm,
I know about hard coding, but the code was written to be most universal for
output in channels. Perhaps not so clean ;-). The lines are linked lists
in memory. The lines marked as blocks get a flag, and the output routine
reads the flag from memory and sets the ink by itself. At QL

Standard QJump Configuration block. Quick and clean solution for
formerly hard-coded stuff.

Hi Marcel,
ah, one who knows the code...;-) Yes, I have thought about it in the last 10
minutes. Seems quite easy to MOVE the value of the config byte into D1
instead of setting a fixed value. So I will put this config item directly
into the heap extensions.

Hi Malcolm,
I just know, how to do it in a clean way ;-). Just wait a bit and it is
available to all. It would then have another level 1 config blockfor the
text colours. I would not use a pre-processing routine to circumvent the
user to set the ink equal the paper color. Or I can also
