Instead of "black" the program contains "BLACK%" which is a keyword in TPTR_EXT. If TPTR_EXT is loaded BLACK% is a function returning 0. If TPTR_EXT is not loaded SMSQ/E treats BLACK% as a variable with value 0. QDOS does not allow undefined variables!! The variable "black" is defined as 0 in smsg3_bas. [Ql-Users] The Talisman by PCBS
Does anyone have a copy of the microdrive version of the Talisman? I have the disk version which works, but will not load from microdrives - the program is too big! The microdrive version is split into 4 code parts - alas I cannot get section "code_3" to work - the file is corrupt. [Ql-Users] Programs with the dreaded Sinclair Copy Protection
As many of the QLers will remember, Sinclair originally used a fast load program (FLRUN) which was part of the Sinclair Software development kit. It was not the best program, as it turned off the break function and also included its own copy protection, meaning that if you get an error in a program, there is not much you can do about it as there is no access to the BASIC program either Some years ago, I amended the FLRUN code to allow you to BREAK into programs, and possibly stop it from closing #0. Alas my copy of this amended code is not working with the early Cash Trader - does anyone else have a fixed version to allow me to load the program on later hardware?
