“Does anyone know the email address for:
Carlo Delhez

which is quoted in the text file that accompanies the UNGIF program.

I have a problem in that when I attempt to create a screen image of the
file IMG_001_GIF, using QPC2 in a laptop, the screen image occupies
the full height of the screen, but only approximately 20% of its width.
I.e. the image is compressed horizontally. The resolution was 1280x800,
and the colour depth was High Colour, but changing these to other
settings did not un-squash the picture.

The same process repeated on my AuoraQL (run with a 512x256 screen)
reproduces the image filling the entire screen.

The command for ‘ungiffing’ can include other instructions, e.g. for
mode, colour, width, but none of these increased the width from 20% to
100%.”

I don't know any contact address for Carlo.
He was last seen at an Eindhoven meeting in the late nineties.

So this was well before the existence of GD2 High Colour.
Ungif does work on high resolutions but only on mode 4 or 8.

Photon by Dave Westbury will show full colour gif pictures.
I also use PhotoQL by Roberto Porro, which does it in a PE window.
These tools must be on your pages somewhere.

Umm, if he runs QPC, why doesn't he take a screenshot with the (Windows)
screen print button?
