Well said, Lee.

I can't remember where I read it, but there's a fascinating story somewhere
about Jan Jones and the history of SuperBASIC. It might have been either in
Tony Tebby's articles in QL Today, or possibly in the Sinclair history
articles on Chris Owen's Wordl of Spectrum Spectrum and QL site, where the
implication was that had Jan Jones not been willing to write SuperBASIC
largely in her own time (there's faith for you), it might never have seen
the light of day in a QL from Sinclair, or at least not in its eventual
released form. SuperBASIC in its day (and still is to a great extent) a
wonderful BASIC interpreter for home computers and of course since then
SBASIC has built on this to become a "Super-Duper BASIC" if you like.

Ok, confess, who was it? ;-)

Whoever it was, it can only be a good thing.

Actually, you could probably squeeze the RaspberryPi inside the QL somewhere
(e.g. remove the MDVs) and have a dual standard QL - an original motherboard
plus a RaspberryPi running Linux/uQLx in the same box...

Possibilities!

Now I wonder if I should dig out the old £3 Tesco black keyboard and and see
if a RaspberryPi would fit inside it somewhere (or perhaps behind or under
it)

No end of possibilities!

I'm all for the S/W emulation of the QL (good luck to those working on the
rehash BTW!)
but shouldn't we be helping to promote it as a RaspberryPI and what it means in
terms of educating newcomers. I'm sure many of us cut our teeth on various
Sinclair kit it would be nice to get newcomers to learn with equipment and
ideas that are current. To that aim I've already put together 70 ish projects
that could be done with the 'PI (or anything similar actually ;) !!).  I'd
appreciate more ideas, all ideas opinions welcome.

Looks like code mod time fortunately it's only in a couple of places despite
the number of repeats:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3148244/static-declaration-follows-non-static-declaration

Essentially the older GCC compilers were more "forgiving" and now it isn't !!!
;)
The new task master is punitive of our sloppiness.

Best of luck with the mod.

Yes, for a QL emulator...
I already have Genesi Efika Smartbook MX (ARM notebook) with Ubuntu 10.10.
I tried to compile two Linux emulators.
Without succes. Maybe someone more experienced in Linux and C will know, what
