Mail me your address and I'll send the drive for the price of
postage. Please indicate what level of postage you want
(insured, recorded or whatever) and we can settle up i.d.c.

Re: [ql-users] LRESPR'ed TK2

2004-07-07 Thread Jeremy Taffel
I had a similar problem some time ago; gold card, semi working QL, (no
working media to save it onto). Richard Z emailed me a file with it on. I
believe I still have it, but on an old machine. I'll try to get to it in the
next few days and email it on to you

Nice to see the outsider win ... well done to Greece !

You know why they beat them? The French, Portugese & Czechs took one

was all Greek to them...

*bzz* Wrong :-) They were actually playing German football ;-)
(Which I take it should be equally foreign ;-) to them :-P
Now ... now ... the coach has done you proud.

Yes, Bill thanks - none of the chips are marked as Sinclair (other than JS
ROMs), though there is an odd EPROM which is unmarked and has no label across
the window - Tony Firshman has offered to look at it in his EPROM programmer
for me...

Great! Tell me what you want for the one with PSU and I'll buy it. Will pay
postage or carriage of course. Single drive is enough for my purposes, I
could copy the stuff I want onto ROMdisq then plug in the 3.5 inch drive to
copy the files. I seem to remember that some QL interfaces can cope with
"hot-swapping" disk drives as well, though with ROMdisq it shouldn't be
necessary, or I could use a Miracle disk expander with the Gold Card to
attach the single 5.25inch drive as drive 3 or whatever.

Unfortunately, I won't be at any QL shows in the near future so I'll have to
ask for it to be sent to me, but no problem paying for that.

Many thanks, Chris.

Ah yes, I remember the drive light staying on all the time until I realised
what the problem was.

Thanks for offering Tim, but would cost more to ship from the USA than I'd
care to pay for a drive which might only get used once or twice.
