I do have a couple of QL books here I don't want:

QL SuperBASIC The Definitive Handbook by Jan Jones (original
McGraw-Hill edition, not Quanta edition, good condition but has a bit
of my scribblings in it)
But Dilwyn, that's a collector's piece by now !!
Try getting my wife to see it that way :-(
Space requirements dictate. When my son sleeps with us his room is
populated by QL books, QL Worlds, Quanta newsletters, old software,
floppy disks.with a little bit of space for him to sleep
somewhere in the middle. Seriously. It's time to make space now that my
step-daughter from Chris's marriage is living with us on a
semi-permanent basis.

An Introduction to Programming the Sinclair QL by R.A. and J.W.Penfold
The Sinclair QL Companion by Boris Allan (first ever book on the QL
IIRC )
Advanced programming with the sinclair QL by Martin Gandoff
Quantum Theory - Simon Rockman
Good Programming With QL SuperBASIC - Roy Atherton

1 pound each + postage to anyone who wants them (or if easier than
obtaining Pounds to pay me, just send me a few CD-Rs worth about 1
pound+postage after I've sent them to you when you can see the value
of postage. I go through a lot of CDRs making backups here, so
they're a tradeable currency to me!

There's also a few Spectrum books (haven't looked at titles) which
anyone can have at cost of postage. Or if any traders want them to
sell on, just ask me and I'll send them to you for cost of postage,
or bring them to next Quanta workshop I attend.

Dilwyn - you know I'll take them off your hands gladly...
OK, will pop all the QL books in a parcel to you this week, if you're
taking the lot forget the pound a piece, just send me face value of
postage plus a token amount to satisfy my wife I haven't just given
them, away after you get them.

I'll be glad to see them find a worthy new home. I keep meaning to do
this, as it's a new year I'm going to be firm and sort it all out for
once in my life.
Well, trouble is that they do tend to follow you around.
Please let others get in first though - ie. given them a couple of days to
respond to your original offer :-)

If your health allows you to come to a workshop this year, I might
prepare half a ton of gear for you to have. Seriously, though, as the
route from here to most QL shows includes the M6 it might be possible
for me to either drop stuff off at your current Shelfield address if I
can find it (I hate driving in Walsall/Birmingham areas), or even give
you a lift to the workshop (same proviso!)
Now there's an offer My health should permit me to drive more this
year and maybe attend a show, but with them all now being on the south
coast this year (why oh why oh why), think that would be too far for me
even with a lift.

We can always meet up at a services somewhere !!
My QoLlector's urge has gone recently (although QLing urge just as
strong as ever) - only collections I still want to keep are QL Worlds,
IQLRs and Quantas.

Right, let's go collect some stuff for Mr Mellor...I only hope you
realise what's coming :o)

Not interested in magazines - best place for them is the recycling bin
since no-one ever asks for them.

Books are different though no more of the "Sinclair Series black books" -
I have piles of those.

Right - best make some more room in the garage then !

I was well into programming when I got the book - but I see (now) from
my
many annotations in it that it proved a very useful source. Yes! - for
all
ye olde buffs, it's the one that's handwritten but nevertheless very

Jan Jones's book is more of a reference guide than a learn to program
book. I wouldn't really suggest it to those wishing to learn SuperBASIC
int he first place (the QL manual is better for that!) but as a
reference guide it's great.
