The only issue I had with Firefox is it never seems to apply stylesheets, and when I went on various forums to see if there was a simple answer or a common mistake people made in stylesheets, which made Firefox ignore them without telling you why (even in the error console), I was horrified to find that the world and their partners seem to have issues with stylesheets versus Firefox, and the stylesheets usually fail.

My stylesheet went through W3C validation OK, so I thought I was going to have a hard time finding out what was going wrong.

Turns out there's actually a simple answer buried deep in Firefox default settings, which are set by default not to allow pages to specify their own colours and fonts. A couple of ticks in the boxes and all was well.

Suddenly colours and fonts are the same in both browsers. An answer I never once saw in all the forums I read, which also probably explains why there were so many "it works fine on my computer" replies.

And For a while the server farm that handled all that for MS was
sub-contracted out and the servers ran a form of linux.

He he,probably says a lot

Dilwyn
