Paul,
I would suggest using tcpserver. http://cr.yp.to/ucspi-tcp.html
alternativly, ensure that you have the right comment in /etc/inetd.conf

Life would be so much easier if we could just look at the source code
tpd x
/etc/tcp.smtp.cdb
in the file /etc/tcp.smtp
123.123.123.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""
If i remove the rcpthosts file. Do i not make the server an Open Relay
server again ?
How do i set the relaying correctly ?

Hi all,
I am about 2 hours away from killing our sendmail server and Replacing it
with Qmail.
In the .qmail-"alias" files does one have to have [EMAIL PROTECTED]
weather it is a single alias in the file or when there is more than one
alias in the file ?

Hi there,
How does one dump mail to /dev/null ,
say i want the user [EMAIL PROTECTED] to dump the message.
i have edited the .qmail-null and put /dev/null in it. this as i can see
from the qmail mail logs tried to deliver to the user /dev/null.
Anyone ?

forwarding EVERY message one at a time. Any suggestions? If we select a
group of messages and tell Outlook to forward them, it stuffs them all into
a single e-mail as attachments which then have to be saved one at a time.

of figuring out how it works :) is
that they now want to limit some users to sending and receiving e-mail only.
If I understand correctly, I just need to find a way to limit those users to
accessing only port 25 of the dial-up server. ?
TIA
