Hello,
Strange thing:
viper:~ # qmail-mrtg-queue
39
2
viper:~ # qmHandle -s
Messages in local queue: 0
Messages in remote queue: 4
Well :) And there are some (different) messages in the queue, so
I guess that qmail-mrtg-queue is right, and qmHandle wrong.
Maybe somebody noticed that too
You have the two confused..
qmail-mrtg-queue returns number of messages in the queue and number of
message unprocessed in the queue.
qmhandle is returning concurrency for local and remote..

Hello,
Just tried to install qmail-mrtg 2.3, and see in the config file:
* NOTE You must be running MULTILOG inorder to use qmailmrtg.
well, I don't know multilog, and if I could make it work without having
to reinstall all my servers, it would be nice : is there a way to make
it work
Sorry it will not. works with multilog output!

Hey,
I rewrote the qmail-mrtg-mess script the other day to handle it properly.
Multilog uses tai64n instead of the timestamp ones.
You need to compile the tai64n program as well.
Have fun.

Did you check the mailing list archives? Some kind people solved the
problem for me 3 weeks ago.
I have looked all through the archives and I still have the same problems
with it others have. It always come back with 0's across the board. I must
be doing something wrong, but I used the route the INSTALL file of

Are you using multilog? and did you edit the qmail.mrtg.cfg to reflect
where your log files live?

Title: RE: RE: qmail-mrtg HELP plz
I am using multilog. What I actually ended up finding out the problem was was that the qmail.mrtg.cfg file wasn't piping the data from current through tai64nlocal before sending it to mrtg, and qmail-mrtg was seg faulting when it was run without tai64nlocal
First, let me preface with saying I've played with the 2 Qmail/MRTG scripts
I know of, read the (little) documentation for both, re-installed, jigged,
prayed and even gone to the main MRTG site looking for anything that could
help.. Nothing has. I even e-mailed Sean Truman (author of the latest
I managed to solve my problems with Sean Truman's qmail-mrtg script and I
thought I'd share it..
Simply, his script cannot read from the /var/log/qmail/current file because
I was using SPLOGGER to dump it, via syslog, to /var/log/mail .. That
simple.

Greetings,
I've searched the mail archive but didn't come up with something solving
my problem. Maybe this question would be better addressed on the
daemontools list. Anyway...
qmail-mrtg-0.1 assumes cyclog (which obviously was replaced by multilog)
and I don't have /var/log/qmail/send
into mrtg scripts. It gave me a starting
place.

Hi
I am attempting to install qmail-mrtg (how little
documentation can there possibly be on getting one program working?), and have
run into trouble. I am using multilog (from daemontools 0.70) to log to
/var/log/qmail/send/ and .../smtpd/, and basically the standard mrtg.cfg that

I've attached the diff to alter the message file. This should make it work
with multilog files. Works for me anyway... :)
Diffs are easy: assuming you're in your working source dir, the original
qmail-mrtg stuff is in a dir called qmail-mrtg.orig/ and your new stuff is
in qmail-mrtg/, just do
