Even though 1.2.12 is out, it doesn't correct any critical problems
with 1.2.11. 1.2.11 has been out for 10+ months, I've personally
been running it for at least a year, so I'm comfortable calling
1.2.11 stable, and releasing 1.2.12 as devel.
