hi i have a very busy email server during peak times the number of simultaneous pop3 connections go between 75 - 90 simultaneous connections my current softlimit in the pop3/run file is 900 ie 9 mb do i need to increase the softlimit for pop3 ? rajesh

hi there are no rejections as such i believe softlimit is the total memory allocated for running the pop3 service, is this correct ? i have around max 90 connections at a time if i raise it to say 50 mb is there any problem that can come up ? my server has 4 gb of ram with less than 1 gb

hi well recently one of my clients (around 50 users or so) could not telnet to my pop3 server. telnet to 110 port was showing a blank screen this problem was occurring to only this client and not others i had also checked the total connection limit was 75 and pop3 log showed around 75
