I'll be glad to see what I can do, but my time is limited by other
commitments. I'll take a look at it as soon as I can, but it might be
next week before that happens.
Perhaps someone else can lend a hand with this in the meantime?

I don't think so. I think the softlimit applies to each connection.

well recently one of my clients (around 50 users or so) could not telnet
to my pop3 server. telnet to 110 port was showing a blank screen
this problem was occurring to only this client and not others
i had also checked the total connection limit was 75 and pop3 log showed

paperwork that is being scanned can be quite large. Luckily it is only once
per day.
