I did a couple things since our last email exchange:
1) yum install *pcre2*
2) ls /usr/lib64 (locate pcre libs)
/usr/lib64/libpcre2-posix.so.0.0.1
/usr/lib64/libpcre2-16.so
/usr/lib64/pkgconfig/libpcre.pc
/usr/lib64/pkgconfig/libpcre2-8.pc
/usr/lib64/pkgconfig/libpcre2-32.pc

I've found someone that claims to have fixed the issue and are in
process of writing to that list (BlueOnyx - Michael Stauber) asking what
