Can someone point me to an example of how to increase what is logged for the
POP3 server? RIght now the logs dont really provide much of anything. Would
like to be able to see things like
1. Login account on login
2. Data transfered
3. Messages retrieved
4. Messages deleted
5. Logout

I would like to suggest that user directory hashing be turned back on
in the vpopmail package. Yesterday I went through a lot of grief, because
it wasn't on.
The server runs CentOS 4.4, with kernel-2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp. The file
system where /home/vpopmail is stored is /home, and is ext3.
I am using QmailToaster which was installed about 6 months ago and don't
think I have changed anything that would affect this.
I can telnet to the server and issue a ehlo, mail from and rcpt to and type
in an invalid user name and it responds ok, I then enter some data and hit
dot and it
Today I noticed that when executing vdominfo that it was returning:
users: 2147483620
Which is incorrect as the domain in question only has 12175 users. So I
started to research the issue and found a thread that indicated it was
related to the .dir-control file. However I could not find this
Currently I can see that the default install accepts all email sent to
QMAIL. It then evaluates after accepting if the user exists in the system.
If not generates a bounce message.
Is there something I can change so that these users are rejected at SMTP
time? I don't want the system to even
I have a central server that runs SPAMD for my other servers and would like
to setup my qmailtoaster server to also point to this external SPAMD daemon.
I tried to do this by modifying the RPM spec file and adding
--enable-spamc-args=-d 192.168.240.106 and recompiled and installed RPM
but
I create an /etc/mail/spamassassin/spamc.conf file with the parameter:
-d remote_ip
In it. Seems to work!

Ray, thank you very much. That fixed the problem immediately.
