I'm guessing that the smtp session timed out on the sender's end while the toaster was auto-expiring the bayes database (can take up to 5 minutes or so on smaller servers). Try disabling auto-expire and setting up a cron job for it. Details are in the list archive, if not on the wiki. Michael
