dont you think it would be better to repair your dovecot-setup but disabling
ssl?
I still have a CentOS6 qmailtoaster with working dovecot and certificate.
If you send your configuration, we should find the issue.

Am currently using ssl in dovecot config on centos 6 server.
The certificate message come always whenever open the outlook client.
I have tried to install the certificate on the machine but still comes the
warning message.
