described in the online page are new since the beta1 which you have
installed
Hi John,
the tutorial is for the coming up RC1 (planned for Thursday). The
beta1 do not contain the needed infrastructure already.
Alternatively you can check out the trunk using SVN yourself.

The first thing is that when you download and unzip the sdk it is named
qooxdoo-0.8-beta1-sdk, which doesn't correspond to the helloworld tutorial.
So I made a link called qooxdoo-0.8
