As long as they will be releasing  at some point,  going ahead at this 
stage with snapshots is not
necessarily a bad thing. I would however say that we should try to not 
be on a snapshot for a 1.0
or production release. As with milestone releases it is better to be 
using the code we need and to

be able to provide feedback and bug fixes back to earlier

I would thus say, go to a version with the stuff we need, and let's get 
it tested now, and from my side
I have no issue if M2 also releases with a snapshot ( we have the 
process understood for it ). I would

rather have snapshots now than when we do a 1.0 release for example.

actually cut yet.. no response

Robert asked them again today if they have any objections with us
using the 1.1.0-Snapshot we were using before which is revision
463149. We should get a response by Monday. .. If not I'm not sure
what that means... It seems very odd that we can't just release the
code.. if it was a c++ application the binary distro could be a single
bin file, with no chance of someone reusing the code. The source code
