Hi Marie,
I told you I'd let you know how Jeff and Lisa are doing when I heard from them, so I'm forwarding this to the Group and Quad Lists. I think a few of you might remember them. :) It sounds like they are doing great!
With Love,

Dave great hearing from you and by all means forward away.. I miss talking to everyone with the quad group and also the sci group, you guys are always in my thoughts... We are going to Phoenix for just a week for a contract writing seminar for the USDA.. I don't think Phoenix and I would get along so well because its a lot hotter there then here.. I love the weather her ( not thrilled with the town though) I'm having major adjustment issues but Jeff is flourishing more so then Ive ever seen him, so here I stay :) My problem seems to be that I'm the woman with the guy in the wheelchair, or Jeff Gaedes woman.. but now i personally lack much of an identity to my self.. life here is REAL slow and i guess as the saying goes you can take the girl outta Cali but you cant take the Cali outta the girl.. The kids are happy, so is Jeff, so here I shall stay and continue to go to Cali and visit frequently.. Unfortunately it took getting Jef! f outta Cali for someone to look beyond the chair at his capabilities, and his co workers are super nice to him. I have traveled once to El Paso to see my kids Nina who lives there but so far thats as far into Texas as Ive gone. We are still waiting for Cali to finish Jeff's new van, It should be done before the end of the year since the modifications are paid for ... but you know how the government works.. if it is already a slow process they are going to make it slower with more red tape bullshit and paperwork... Jeff is fighting a sore on scar tissue from his ishectomy (Sp.???) that took place many years ago.. seems like all this sitting up in his chair, even though he reclines often isn't so great and since the sore is on scar tissue I'm having a heck of a time with it.. it close and heals only to reopen .. very frustrating..As far as the invitational went, my youngest son Joshua hunted down the balloonist that had the wheelchair accessible hot air balloon and he managed to hook up his dad with a ride later this year.. i will be firmly planted on the ground but Jeff is very much looking forward to it. Another interesting thing we get to do this year is out here you Can actually go to the Forest ( in certain areas) and cut down our own Christmas trees! Thats pretty cool, but I'm sure as with everything else out here, you do it once then the novelty wears off... Next month we get to go to Carlsbad Caverns and they are wheelchair accessible! Jeff is looking forward to it, but I am also claustrophobic ( along with my horrific fear of heights and bugs) so I'm thinking a Valium before hand might actually get me to entrance.. Speaking of bugs DAMN!!!! the bugs/ spiders here are HUGE!! I swear Jeff was gonna get drug away by a spider because I wasn't gonna get close to it for anything... the bugs are as big as poodles here... and i hate bugs....So how is the grand baby? and life in general for you? hey now that we are closer to you maybe someday we can all get together, my dad still lives in Weatherford, i haven't visited him yet because his wife got real sick from some weird infection and pneumonia ( she also has lupus) and almost died and some experimental drug saved her life.. so Ive been scare but they keep threatening that when she gets better they will make an appearance here ( pray for me, pray that I'm somewhere else or they get lost along the way). I told my dad that his wife and Jeff now have matching trachea scars, but my father wasn't amused.. of course i didn't inform him that i find Jeff's scars very sexy, but then again I'm a little weird.. that and i find everything about Jeff pretty sexy.....Wow sorry this letter became a small novel, I guess i miss you all so much that I wanna clue everyone in ( feel free to pass this along, and also say hi to everyone on the sci and quad list.. If you or any of the other quads are in the area tell them to drop us a line and we will get together, and anyone who's interested the Trinity site out at white sands will be open for its 2 day of the year for the public on October 2 ( next time it will open again will be in April) The site is wheelchair accessible and its FREE!!!! there isn't any real special procedure, you just come here on the morning of October 2 and I guess a caravan goes out to the site.. Its a don't miss opportunity to see a bit of historyLove and hugs Dave, I really miss y'all.. Please take care and say hi to everyone, and please keep me informed and drop a line wheneveras usual you are all in my thoughts and prayershugs and kissthe Cali at heartand only true blond in AlamogordoLisa
