Ceiling lifts work much better than hoyer types, but only if the survey and
engineering is done properly. Will a single track work for you or will
you require more than one? Will your ceiling support the track? Do your
homework.

Hello All,
What is the best way to direct 2 or more people to lift you out of your
wheelchair
Simple, easiest way for two people to lift another person out of a wheel chair
is...get one person on each side of the chair , facing the
chair.put one arm under the persons knee joint and the other behind the
persons back. On the count of three lift..person up and forward
Under the armpits while grasping wrist and the other person holding under
the knees. Much depends on the people performing the lift/transfer and the
individual being lift/transferred.
Best Wishes

Securements should only be attached to the frame of the chair at the base.

Platform lifts vary among manufacturers and models made for conversion
vehicles and commercial vehicles. However, they do share many commonalties.
Sizing
and what supports them can be easily compared.
The new manufacturing laws regarding platform lifts in both markets are
changing this year.
