What about one with an air mattress that changes air pressure automatically
to prevent skin breakdown? My bed I have now does this.. I don't turn and
have no problems with skin breakdown..

You can get two of these El Chinsey generic electrics and put them side by

Danny,
John is right keep an eye out in your newspaper sometimes people just want
someone to get it out of their house. Put an egg crate mattress pad to fill in
the crack between the beds.

[QUAD-L] Bed

2008-11-20 Thread Don Smith
Hi Danny

I'm Don, I'm a 5/6 incomplete from a snow sking accident almost 21 years ago.
I live in northern Calif.   you might wanna check into stores that sell beds.
if needed you an also get a gel or air mat overlay for your side if you have
pressure issues just look online.  I do know what you mean, hospital beds just
arent made for two.

p.s. if you use a hoyer type lift check for clearence underneth, or block it up
if needed.

Hi Danny,
I am in a bariatric revolving air mattress that has chambers that go up and
down. I was in the hospital for bed sores and was put into the large bed
that made it so much easier to be turned and propped up. When I got home I
had
my regular bed swapped for the larger bed.
Now every day my 2 year old grandson has to get in my bed to watch his tv
programs, and I still have room on the other side for my things.
Several years ago we moved my bed right next to the king size bed that my
husband is in. With the ability
to raise and lower my bed, and the head and feet I am able to sleep right
next to Gerald. We watch tv every night and hold hands and act however we
want.
We wonder why it took us so long us so long to figure this out.
