I've had the same issue here in Calif. most recently when a transformer
blew.  My low air loss bed didn't loose any air.  I have an eggcreat. under
it and a thick plastic mat from a previous beb between the springs and
eggcreate.  power  was out for three  hours, I took a nice nap.

 My bed is too tall for my lift if I leave it under my regular mattress, so

 But going to bed with no TV or light of any kind. It's is hard for me. So
 I turned my Kindle on. Luckily it was only out for 4 hours. Others were out
 more than 24 hours.
 I'd go to a hotel if my power was out that long.
