for the Macintosh LC
The Macintosh LC 630 and Macintosh Quadra 630 computers operate only in
32-bit addressing mode, so they do not support the Apple IIe card for
the Macintosh LC.
Someone should write and tell LEM they've got their 630 specs wrong.

I made a similar gamble in buying a 64MB simm for a 630 dos compatible,
sight unseen (all I knew was it was FPM, which I'd heard was the most
important determinant of success), which sort of succeeded. It didnt work on
the DOS side (was seen as only 16MB), but it was properly recognized on the

You need the NEC 3x drivers. You don't have these?
I have an external 3x NEC CD ROM and this works fine on 8.1 and with
the NEC drivers installed onto a boot floppy, so I am able to
reinstall or update (or downdate) software from CD ROM in this way.

Everything was standard (and installed). It is a hardware limitation
of the 630 DOS Compatible, not a software issue.

Hi
Is anyone aware of a freeware or shareware UDF reader that runs on OS 7.5.5.
I've looked at the Adaptec one distributed by Roxio (v1.04) but the docs say
it needs OS 7.6 and it didn't run on my system when I tried it. I have an LC
575 and am a complete Apple newbie.
Thanks

I bought one of these on ebay -- Mouse Systems A/3 mouse. It came w/o
software, but works OK. Anyone know if there was any original
software to go with it... and where to get it from?
