AFAIK, I can only record 8 bits using the normal Apple hardware and/or K aboom! Is there any software out there, 7.5 compatible, that records better? I assume you're going through the built-in mic port, as the Quad 66AV doesn't have RCA audio in. IIRC, you're going to be limited to 8 bits
