application (they 'fly back' to the finder.) I'm running os 7.6.1 on it. The
mp3 file has a quicktime icon. Even when I try to open the mp3 using the
file menu (in mpegdec), the mp3 doesn't show up in the file selection db.

Probably its file type is 'Mp3 '.

Change file type to one of the following: 'MPG3', 'MPEG', 'PLAY', 'MP3 '.
Those are the only MPEGDEC 2.0 can use unless you hack it.

one you can sell, or point me to a place where i can find one. I check the usual
places like ebay and some vintage mac sites, no one seems to have them.

DayStar PowerCard 601
Apple Power Mac Processor Upgrade card
I think all of them would fit into the LC475. I would prefere a cpu socketed upgrade
since I need to use the ethernet card that is currently taking up the PDS slot.

I attempted to upgrade both memory sticks on my Quadra 660AV with
32meg sticks and now I can not boot. I am running MacOs 8.1. It
chimes to begin but there isn't a face at startup, cursor just
freezes. Checked pram battery, tried other memory sticks and used
another hard drive
