Macintosh IIfx

2002-12-26 Thread Terry Ovans
Can anyone tell me what monitor originally came with the Macintosh
IIfx? I have three different types of monitors here and not one of
them has the weird connector that looks something like oo:o Am I
looking at the wrong connector perhaps!

Terry:

Your drawing looks kind of like a 13W3 type connector. That's a
special type of connector that was used on some video cards and
monitors. Usually they were large Sun type monitors. You should have
an ordinary Apple video connector too.

Would the ordinary Apple video connector be a 15 pin connector? There
is one of those all by itself on a card.

Whichever one you chose to buy with it.

Sounds like you have the Portrait/Workstation card in there, with its 13w3
connector.

That card is *worthless*, even for running a Portrait or Two-Page display,
because it maxes out at 16 greys.
