I see there is a 'snowflake' proxy option in the Tor control panel, however it gets stuck at 0% and refuses to connect. I can't find any resources. Closest I found is this forum thread:

The thread is a few months old so this may or may not still be the case. Either way I tried the solution provided by @tzwcfq but it did not improve things.
