Some people have it working with USB wifi network adapters, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with an Ethernet one. It would depend on driver and/or firmware support being installed in the NetVM first, though, although if you have access to another machine with network access and a USB flash drive, you could manually copy over any missing drivers or firmware.
