Dear Qubes community,
Qubes OS releases are normally supported for six months after each subsequent
major or minor release (see [Supported Versions] and [Version Scheme]). In
accordance with this policy, Qubes 3.1, which was released on 2016-03-09,

I've always had difficulties booting the default kernel of 3.1 (4.1.24.10),
graphic corruption making it impossible to complete a boot. As such I've just
always used 3.18.17-8 which behaves fine on my hardware.
Am now preparing to make the upgrade to 3.2, but want to ensure if at all

Hi
I noticed you wrote about Kali Linux on your site, here:
qubes-os.org/doc/pentesting/kali/
It is great to have you helping users get to know Kali.
Mr Ghaznavi-Zadeh just published a chapter from his book "Kali Linux – A guide
to Ethical hacking" and it is available for free here:
Just curious if this affects Qubes, or not.

Probably not since Qubes isolates the QEMU in its own dedicated stubdomain.

Hi group,
I have a problem with the sound. For some time I cannot see all running
VM's in the Pulse Audio Volume Control at the Playback Tab. I only see
following VM's there

- sys-net
- sys-firewall
- sys-usb

My clock is not syncing and I can't figure out what the issue is. Any
assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I'm running Qubes 3.2 (R3.2)

switching keyboard layouts seem to hang for a few seconds from time to
time , but indication doesn't hang. This is very annoying.
This seem to happen on high loads when 6 or more VMs are running.
Any extra details to show to localize the bug?

If you see
"AMD-Vi: Interrupt remapping enabled"
in dmesg then you should be fine as the hardware supports it.
The HCL doesn't test for IR.

Just as the title says. I wish to create a qubes hidden system in Veracrypt,
but I'm not entirely sure what the process for that would be. Do I run
veracrypt on Dom0, and from there the hidden volume that is created, will be a
clone of the whole OS? How would I run Veracrypt on Dom0?

upgrading from 3.1 to 3.2 broke with several hundred dupe packages.
package-cleanup didn't work, so I had to remove dupes by hand one by one.
clicking through many y/N questions, I inadvertently removed libxml dupe, which
in turn removed qubes-core-dom0, all templates, and borked my system.

Will it be possible in the near of far future, that Qubes OS will run on some

- The qubes sink has to be installed (properly, there is a bug with debian-9)
in the appvm
- the pulseaudio daemon must be running.
which VMs do _not_ show up? can you

Hi, it looks like that the debian VM's are not connected so maybe
something is missing. The pulseaudio daemon is running under dom0 but
not on the other VM's under debian. How do I find out if the sink is
active or not?
