In a dom0 terminal, the file should be in whatever directory you were in when you ran the qvm-run command, since you didn't specify a directory in the command you showed. If you didn't change directories first, that would either be /root if you were root or /home/user otherwise. You should be able to find it (as root) by running: # find /root /home -name '*.iso' If it's not found in either of them, then you either put it somewhere else (like /tmp or /var/lib/qubes), or the copy didn't work. [qubes-users] i3: Help auto-moving Qubes Manager to another Workspace (assign [class=...)

I'm trying to move my Qubes Manager automatically to workspace 10 in i3.
I've added the following lines in my ~/.config/i3/config
assign [class="win7"] $workspace3
which will move my windows HVM after starting it to my workspace3.
I've tried to use the same method to move Qubes Manager:
assign [class="qubes-manager"] $workspace3
But it doesn't work, Qubes Manager will always stay on the current workspace I
am using or on workspace 1 after login.
I've used xprop and clicked on the Qubes Manager windows (not the outer window
border) and got the following information:

[qubes-users] Help finetuning i3status in Qubes dom0

after switching to i3vm in Qubes 3.2 as primary window manager I'm working on
tweaking it to my needs.
I've learned that Qubes is adding a small script to generate the status bar in
i3:
/usr/bin/qubes-i3status
I'd like to add the total consumed RAM in the status bar, but my scripting is
not good enough to make it work, can someone give me a hint?
My current approach:
1) get the used RAM for each AppVM from running 'xl list' in dom0

[qubes-users] Re: How to Make APP Fonts Larger [Solved]
I found that right clicking on the desktop produced a menu with the item Applications. This has a menu item System Tools. The included item here is Appearance. The tab in Appearance is Fonts. This is where it gets fun. The Default font changes the fonts right on the app so it has instant feedback. At the bottom of this Appearance window is a Custom DPI setting. Luckily, I had a terminal open. Where I really had a challenge with font size is in the terminal. By increasing the DPI, the terminal fonts grew. They grew so fast that all the fonts went off the page. I just hit the Enter/Return key and it was aligned again. I increased the DPI to 164 and the terminal was just what I needed. I hope this helps others. I sure it will help me the next time I reload the system and have forgotten what to do. [qubes-users] Keyboard and Mouse Pad not Working
I just installed R3.2 on a Toshiba Satellite. I had been running Debian 9. I installed to a USB drive with dd after checking signatures. The installation went fine use the mouse pad and keyboard. After installation and reboot, I selected defaults and the sign on screen came up. It did not respond to either laptop keyboard or mouse pad. So I plugged in a USB mouse, it worked fine but there was no response to the laptop keyboard. I plugged in a USB keyboard and was able to sign in and navigate around. I have looked up a variety of issues on laptop keyboards, but those that seem close address files in the /etc folder which Qube doesn't seem to have. 1) How can I pursue the making the laptop keyboard and mouse work? 2) Where can I find a graphic of the Qube folder structure? [qubes-users] Windows 7 VM on Qubes $
After installing Qubes 4rc1 on a new laptop, I took a backup of my Windows 7 VM from my old 3.2 installation and loaded it onto the new laptop. This did not work at all. After some searching I came across a statement suggesting that Windows not work is a known issue and will be fixed with the final release of Qubes 4. My question is: Will the Windows 7 support work once rc2 comes out? I don't use the Windows support much, but when I do, it's really important. At the same time I can't stay with Qubes 3.2 since my new laptop is using Kaby Lake, and thus requires Qubes 4.
