[qubes-users] Qubes 4.x ProxyVM

2021-06-08 Thread 'ukernel' via qubes-users
Hello Team,

I have been reading that in the new version of Qubes 4 the terms of ProxyVM are
no longer used. However I would like to know how to create the equivalent but
persistent and save my VPN configurations that I made in that virtual server.

I followed the following instructions but every time I restart what I configure
stops working.

https://github.com/Qubes-Community/Contents/blob/master/docs/configuration/vpn.md

I really appreciate your help and support.

[qubes-users] Creating snapshot

2020-02-18 Thread 'ukernel' via qubes-users
Team good day, I wanted to check with you if there is any way to create
snapshots in Qubes OS, without having to make a full backup of the AppVM. What
happens is that I am testing with a Windows 7 VM and when I install the Qubes
Windows Tools it stops working for some reason and the OS no longer starts. I
had to reinstall it because I could not recover it or in safemode it started.
And it took me almost a day to apply all OS security updates. I wouldn't want
to go through that again.

Best regards,

Re: [qubes-users] Encrypt disk after installation

2020-02-15 Thread 'ukernel' via qubes-users
Chris,

Thank you very much for your help. I think it is a great advantage to be able
to backup VMs so easily. Wich allowed me to reinstall and leave my
configuration very easily. I appreciate you taking your time to respond.

Best regards

[qubes-users] Encrypt disk after installation

2020-02-12 Thread 'ukernel' via qubes-users
For some reason despite the fact that during installation I selected the
encryption checkbox and set a password but the partition where I installed
Qubes OS was not encrypted. I found a command to encrypt on the same page of
Qubes OS however it says that it overwrite all the information. I need to know
how to encrypt my disk without reinstalling everything.

Could you help me please?

cryptsetup -v --hash sha512 --cipher aes-xts-plain64 --key-size 512
--use-random --iter-time 1 --verify-passphrase luksFormat /dev/sda2
