[qubes-users] How to properly delete logs in an entire system?
After using Qubes for a while I have a lot of logs (>10GB) and I'd like to delete them. Will it be fine if I just delete them like this in each templateVM? find /var/log -type f -delete Also, would it be bad if I simply turn the logggin off and turn it on if needed? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] How to create application shortcuts for Flatpak apps?
I have a couple AppVMs with flatpak apps installed on them (with a -- user flag) and I can't figure out how to do it. There is guide explaining how to do it, but it expects you to have flatpak apps installed in TemplateVM. Is it possible to do? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. Re: [qubes-users] Squares instead of Characters in (?)nautilus
Hi, Oleg! Thank you for your input. I fixed the issue by installing missing packages. Those packages are: liberation-fonts-common liberation-mono-fonts liberation-sans-fonts liberation-serif-fonts -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] Squares instead of Characters in (?)nautilus
When I try to do anythings that opens "Open Folder" window, I see only squares instead of characters. https://i.imgur.com/YdXpIWW.png This behavior began after I moved from fedora-31 to fedora-32-minimal template. I already deleted the previous vm, so I couldn't even check if there is something I need to have installed to make it work correctly. Nautilus itself works fine, though. -- Alex -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] How to make aliases persistent?
For example, when I type: alias ll='ls -lh' it works just fine, but after restarting the VM (either appVM or templateVM), I have to do all over it again. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] Security benefits of rootless template VMs
I've been thinking about splitting my templateVMs into a bunch of smaller ones with no root access where I don't need it. Is having like 5 templateVMs 4 of which have no root is better than having 1 templateVM which have root and in charge of every appVM? Or there is no security benefits considered I never do anything in templateVMs, besides installing packages, all of which are from official repos?
