I'm running into a problem when installing Qubes and potentially there has
already been a work around I have not seen while querying this group.
Currently when trying to install qubes the system drops from a GUI to a text
install and won't allow me to move any further as the hard drive looks for an
encryption key that doesn't exist. While a problem, I was able to get around
it by using a different computer in my possession (the system I tested qubes on
before wanting to move it to my "production" environment) to install the system
on a hard drive. Though once I try to boot the system I run into an issue an
the X server fails to start and the system hangs. I'm hoping that I've
overlooked something and that this is a semi-common problem with an easy
solution. The system that I am using has a Z84-Pro motherboard with an Nvidia
980-TI attached to it. If there is more information I can provide to help
resolve this issue please let me know, or an already existing thread I have
overlooked I would appreciate being pointed to that direction. Normally I
would assume this is an Nvidia issue, though my development environment has
dual nvidia 780M's which I would (possibly incorrectly) assume to have similar
Thanks for any support anyone may be able to provide.
