[qubes-users] Re: hidpi: How do AppVMs and Template/SysVMs get the screen dpi
Well, the display size reported by xrandr is correct for 200 dpi but xdpyinfo reports 96 x 96. I did put xrandr --fbmm XxY in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc-common and now xdpyinfo reports the right resolution, but the DispVM has still a tiny Firefox. [qubes-users] Re: No bootable device -- insert boot disk and prese any key
2 Questions: 3.2 or 4.0 UEFI or Legacy I tried 4.0 and 3.2 on a Yoga 900, both with UEFI. 4.0 did boot, 3.2 did not. The reason was that the 4.4 kernel could not set the UEFI boot entry. If you did use UEFI make a bootable USB stick with reFind. This is just a UEFI boot loader that will find anything bootable and will boot it. I had to use an additional Linux installation with a more recent kernel to set the boot entry with efibootmgr. Maybe it works from Qubes if you update to the 4.9 kernel first. [qubes-users] Re: Qubes won't detect Yoga 910's SSD as the Installation Destination
Hi, did you change the disk controller mode to AHCI in the BIOS? Otherwise no Linux can find your SSD. BTW, UEFI should work fine with Qubes. [qubes-users] Re: hidpi: How do AppVMs and Template/SysVMs get the screen dpi
Update I changed Xft.dpi in /etc/X11/Xresources to a more reasonable value and this solved most of the problems for Template/Sys-VMs. Firefox is still erratic and DispVMs are still tiny. For some strange reason the Xresources don't find their way into xrdb. Cheers, Torsten -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group. [qubes-users] Re: Request for feedback: 4.9 Kernel
I have been trying to set up screen rotation on the Yoga 900. As far as I know, this requires the "iio/accel/hid-sensor-accel-3d" driver which is present in 4.4.14 but not in 4.9.35. [qubes-users] Re: HCL - Lenovo Yoga 900 for BIZ 80SD
Just a little update. The touchpad works with the 4.9 kernel from testing. The Wifi suspend issue does not occur when I suspend by closing the lid, only when I choose suspend from the shutdown menu. I checked the dmesg output for both suspends but could not see any difference. It can be solved as described here: https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/wireless-troubleshooting/ I was just too tired yesterday and tried to do it in dom0, not the net-vm. [qubes-users] HCL - Lenovo Yoga 900 for BIZ 80SD
Hello, after some painful troubles I have it running with Qubes 3.2. As might be expected there are some issues: Touchpad/Touchscreen do not work. I could not even find a touchpad USB device. It worked in the Qubes 4.0 preview. No Wifi after resume. Reloading the iwlwifi module did not help. Either hibernate or suspend works. I have to check which. Resolution is erratic in AppVMs between reboots. I the have to stop and restart the AppVM or use a magnifying glas. Most annoying was that 3.2 can't add a boot entry. 4.0 can. Refind helps but I installed a small Xubuntu 17.04 on the Lenovo driver partition for helper tasks. The Laptop has a TPM 2.0 but this does not seem to be supported. Thanks for the great work! [qubes-users] Issue with installation on LENOVO Yoga 900 (13ISK 80MK)
Well, the error has nothing to do with the problem. It is about kernel mode setting and because you get the graphical installer it is not the problem. I would expect your USB stick to be defective. I can install the Qubes 4.0 pre-release on a Yoga 900 for Biz. I have to successfully boot it yet.
