By "hot swap," do you mean actually yanking out the hard drive while
everything is turned on and then plugging in the other hard drive,
again, while everything is still turned on? Because that's the
traditional meaning of the term. If so, unless you've got specialized
hardware that properly cuts power off to the drive before you pull it
(and even then, I don't think Windows supports being plugged
into/plugged out of a running system anyways), I think you might have
some bigger problems at the moment.
