What version of Qubes and which Windows 7 version (home/pro/32bit/64bit)
are you using?
I've successfully installed Windows 7 on Qubes 3.1 and 3.2
Make sure to add at least 2GB RAM to the windows VM.
Following the excellent Qubes Documentation I found out that if you create
a Windows HVM from the command line it has only 512 MB RAM which caused
problems after (!) installation.
Be also sure to use the 32bit-Version of Windows.
I have used Windows 7 Pro 32bit and installation was smooth & easy.
