Note: Bisq package is at that time neither available from packages.debian.org nor deb.whonix.org. It's a third party package. Same would happen in Debian. Therefore this isn't a Whonix related issue either. Whonix only happens to provide instructions on how to install Bisq despite some issues

Good luck with this. I have managed to install Ubuntu but you only get a small window (which apparently is fixable but I didn't go there). Networking is difficult and I could never get it to recognise my wifi adapter. You could always try and install an Ubuntu template from here:

My use-case for Qubes is largely to help segment my work/personal systems as well as allow me to run VMs for development. That second part is a bit of a challenge, though. By design, whenever I spin up a new VM, I have to explicitly allow ports between the VM and my existing systems. I 100%

I installed Ubuntu as a HVM and had to muck around with the disc it installed on as I said (xvda/xvdb etc). Some worked some didn't. With regards to resolution I did try from within Ubuntu but the maximum resolution was I think 800X600 which is tiny and it didn't give me any more options.
