Hi, I have the same issue - notification and update icon shows out, but qubes-dom0-update says it has nothing to do. VM Manager sends out regular notifications that Dom0 updates are available - this is what you'd expect. However, in approximately 50% of these cases, there are no available updates. This is what happens after a notification is received: In VM Manager ---> click download ---> Dom0 qubes manager opens dialogue box saying checking for updates > Sys-Firewall box opens saying downloading ---> dialogue boxes close and VM Manager update flag disappears.
